Apologies
Hi, guys. It's me. I'm here; I'm alive. Promise.
I haven't made a blog post in such a long time (since June!), I thought I'd take the time to say sorry and give a little life update from the past couple months.
Sticking somewhat with the theme of this blog, I'll throw in some OOTDs.
Coming to you live from inside a dressing room in Forever 21 in NYC.
Can you tell I love those shoes? Best $12 I ever spent.
I've been eating a lot of this.
Got this one at an amusement park I went to with some friends from school.
I wore this dress in Italy </3
This is from the fourth of July and that skirt is my mom's. She's cooler than me.
I wore this on vacation.
Maxi dresses need to stick around for a long time, please.
I went to North Carolina to visit my aunt and payed a visit to Amelie's French Bakery (delicious!).
So Instagram-esque, right?
Oh look, a sweater in July.
Another sweater, wow.
My parents and I went to an art exhibit this past weekend, and this was my favorite piece there.
It reminds me a little of Van Gogh's style.
So yeah, aside from all the fun stuff, I've basically just been working and prepping to move into my apartment and go back to school...so much to do!
I hope all of you are enjoying your summer.
If you're getting sad that its end is slowly approaching, just think...pumpkin spice lattes are coming back!
That always makes me feel better, but maybe it's just me.
:)
P.S. I think I'll be changing up this blog a bit in the near future...aesthetics and name-wise.
Just a heads up!

What's in my bag?
This is probably my favorite bag at the moment. It goes with so much and is the perfect size to fit just about anything and everything I need.
I got it from Primark, but I've seen many similar ones in essentially every store.
These aren't items I carry around on a daily basis, but they're what I consider good to have with you!
A book (my current read - One Day by David Nicholls) // Paper and a pen (you never know when you'll get a good idea or just want to doodle) // Wallet (I got mine in Italy) //
Phone & headphones (always necessary) // A plethora of chapsticks (you've gotta have a selection) // Sunglasses // Car keys (or bus/train/subway pass/keys for moped/motorcycle/helicopter...whatever your mode of transport is) //
Hair ties (I can't stress this enough) // Medicine/Pill holder // Hand sanitizer // A compact mirror // Something small to snack on
And it all fits, yay!
xx

From Polka Dots to Stripes
I was perusing through some posts a couple weeks ago and stumbled across this post by my friend Nicole, whose blog is called Ten Polka Dot Dresses. She mentioned H&M's online sale and I was instantly sucked into having a look and purchasing a few things myself!
Here's the items I purchased. I ended up getting an entire new outfit, unintentionally, which is always a plus.
Striped shirt - originally $25 down to $5
Grey shirt - originally $10 down to $5
Boyfriend Jeans - originally $40 down to $20
Sneakers - Originally $15 down to $5
A grand total of $35, which I thought was a pretty great deal!
I mentioned previously in this post how I was lusting after a pair of boyfriend jeans from J. Crew, but I'm very glad I got a pair just as cute for a much more affordable price.
I love them (and they're pretty comfortable)!
I've never had a high-top sneaker before, so these will definitely be fun to style.
(Excuse the fading henna, hehe.)
Instagram-esque shot.
The bag is from Primark.
And here's a last shot of the outfit in full!
I look sad in these, but I'm not. Promise.
Thanks to Nicole, I now have a whole new outfit for the spring!
Her blog is great for fashion advice and inspiration, and if you're into theatre or an anglophile (like myself), I think you'll really love her blog.
Her posts are always consistent and interesting to read, especially her 'Internet Find Friday' posts.
They always lead me to a compelling article or to taking another BuzzFeed quiz (cause who doesn't love those, honestly?).
All in all, she's awesome and you must check her out!
Hope you're all having a great week.

Those who can't sleep, blog.
I'm going to deem that as my new saying. Need to get that copyrighted.
Anyways, insomnia has seemed to hit me tonight and of course it's the night before my 8:30 am class. That's just how life goes at times, I guess.
Might as well utilize this time to do something aside from listening to Spotify and scrolling through Tumblr.
I'd thought I'd tell you guys some things I've been liking for springtime!
Fiorella Dress // Kate Spade
It's simple, not too bright, but you still have that pop of blue in there to make it a stand out piece.
I just imagine if I were to wear it, I'd probably have the urge to skip everywhere.

Elda Envelope Clutch Mini // Forzieri
I've been eyeing this beauty for over a month now. At $593, I don't see myself getting it anytime soon...as my mom said when she noticed me looking at it, "You'd better have a good job when you're older".
I know, Mom. I know.
Those colors just work so well together, like a chic little watermelon.
(This is the 1:40 am me talking, so excuse any weirdness.)

I can't help but fall for the slouchy, rolled up jean look. And I usually don't like rips in my jeans, but these just look so intriguing and broken-in in the best way.

My last thing actually isn't a clothing item, but rather a person!
A YouTuber by the name of ARose186, aka: Arden, has had me watching her videos almost everyday for the past couple weeks. I've watched all her videos from the past year so far!
Her personality is spunky and oh-so-cool, her videos are awesome and helpful, she's hilarious, and did I mention super pretty?
She also does a mean winged eyeliner.
If you're not subscribed to her, you should definitely at least check her out!
I think she's also played a big part in convincing me to go shorter with my hair, so there's that as well.
I only have just over a week left until I finish my first year of college, which seems completely impossible to me. It absolutely flew by!
The next week I'll be consumed by papers and exams, so I'm glad to have gotten a post out now.
Hope you're all doing well and good luck to anyone else who has exams!

Sundaze
I couldn't help but snatch this while waiting in line at the grocery store.
Elle + Emma Watson = perfect combination
It's amazing what sitting down and reading a magazine could do in terms of inspiration or motivation.
Whether it's an article you read that strikes you, or a clothing advertisement that helps you plan out your outfit for the next day.
It's really unbelievable when we step back and realize the affect media has on our everyday lives, even if we consciously choose to let it or not.

Touchdown in Londontown
Hello! So, I got back from London just under two weeks ago...time really does fly. I had such a wonderful time, and I still can't believe I actually went. I'm eagerly awaiting the day I get to return.
I thought I'd share some of my photos and outfits with you. I wish I could've got some proper photos of my outfits, but going into the trip I didn't know anyone well enough to ask them to take some shots of me...although by the end of the trip, I made several new good friends and I'm really happy about that. Regardless, enjoy!
My first introduction to London was in Hyde Park and I wouldn't have wanted it to be anywhere else.
The weather was absolutely beautiful, there were families spending time together, children chasing birds, people eating ice cream, riding bikes....it was like a film set, except it was real life.
My friends and I had lunch on a bench by the pond (Is it a pond? I dunno...) and watched all the birds. It was super windy at times and all of the pigeons decided to take flight at this moment and swoop quite close to our heads. Laughing ensued and I'm so glad my friend captured this moment.

| Poor London Eye got cut out for the sake of seeing my outfit a bit better. Not that it's anything special. We were only allowed one regular suitcase, so I mostly packed simple pieces that I could interchange with one another throughout the trip. The only "new" items I really wore were my two jackets, which have both been pictured. The weather was lovely, but still required some sort of coat/jacket/protection from the wind. |
My friends and I are all big Harry Potter buffs, and we had to take the initiative to visit Millennium Bridge.
'Twas so pretty.
Yes, we went to Harrods. And I finally went to Ladurée and tried macarons and they were as delicious as I expected, if not more.
Sadly, there was a little incident on the Tube and they got crushed a bit.
They tasted every bit as good though.
Snuck a mirror selfie in the Victoria & Albert museum, which was gorgeous.
They had a fashion section, by the way. Definitely my favorite part.
I surprisingly didn't wear a jacket for most of the day and it was colder than expected, so I grabbed my jacket and scarf once we stopped back at the hotel.
This was taken in the bathroom of a pub...classy (but like nice carpeting for a bathroom, right?).
[Side note: The 'toilets' in restaurants/pubs/etc., why do they always put them either upstairs or downstairs completely out of the way? I mean, it makes sense, but I felt like I was going upstairs into someone's home just to get to this bathroom...]
Speaking of pubs...
I had my first legal drink, whoooo.
I'm not a fan of beer to begin with, but I had it with fish and chips and thought it was alright.
Had to take the quintessential red telephone box/Big Ben photo, of course.
As you can plainly see, I'm at Warner Bros. Harry Potter Studio Tour.
Basically my outfits each day consisted of my brown riding-styled boots, leggings/yoga pants, a neutral-colored shirt or sweater of some sort, and whichever jacket paired with a scarf.
Pretty standard and simple, which was nice.
Also, butter beer gets two thumbs up from me.
This had to occur as well (I mean, duh).
This is from our last day. I like that my friend's face and mine aren't visible (and the random man in the back).
This was in the Notting Hill area, near Portobello Road.
Such a pretty area, especially those flowers and greenery that are somewhat visible.
The weather couldn't have been more perfect on this last day, and I'm really glad London welcomed us with its lovely weather (or we brought the sunshine, because apparently the week before and after weren't as nice...so you're welcome, London).
This doesn't even cover half of what we did, saw, or what funny and wonderful incidents happened to us. I'm so grateful for this experience and for making new friends during the process.
I look forward to seeing you again one day, London!
Until then, don't change...at least not too much.
<3
Credit for some of these photos goes to two of my friends, Lexus & Amanda. Thanks guys.
